Regrettably, i will not be upgrading to this firmware for the time-being, if at all. with the xe-2 adjustment to shadow control (at a default zero of +1 to the x-pro1/xe1) which means less dr in the darks, and also the very worrying early cut off of shadows in the x100s, the loss of jpeg shadow dr is a real possibility in this firmware update.. The x-e1 is done for big firmware updates and the x-e2 is soon to see the last major update this feb 4. any other updates that do occur will be to make sure that new lenses and flashes will work perfectly with the camera bodies. think there is mention of a firmware update to add support for the new 100-400 lens.. Finally found a hd-dvd player that suppose to be stable and support what i need. toshiba xe1, looks and feels good (heavy beast ) what should i do to update my xe1 to get 1080p/24?.
Hi not wishing to sound stupid but can anyone explain to me the proceedure to upgrade the firmware in mr xe1. i have had it since new but only used it a couple of time when i got it then re boxed it and just got it out again two weeks ago..
