I am not turning the camera off, but it just goes to black - if i select the "menu" button, then i go to a different window, not the initial "information" screen. in fact, this happens on every single window i view - whether it is the that initial information screen, or any screen in my menu. i hope this makes sense.. The nikon d3300 is an entry-level dslr with an impressive spec list, including a 24 megapixel sensor and 1080/60p hd video recording. it provides the right level of controls for a beginner, offers a number of in-camera retouch options, and boasts excellent battery life.. If the d3300 is resting (lcd off), the info button wakes up the lcd and shows you the info screen (shooting info like aperture, shutter speed, battery, af settings, etc.). press info again to turn it off..
Nikon d3300 and nikon d3500 have the same nikon f lens mount and currently there are 287 native lenses available for these cameras. another important factor is the availability of image stabilization.. I was considering buying a nikon d3300. my background is very much an enthusiast photographer, coming from the film days. nikon d3300: looks good, the 24mp is of course attractive, but the menu driven system mostly is a put-off for me (i would have liked some more physical controls).. D3300 summary. the nikon d3300 is a solid camera, in more ways than one: solid build quality and solid image quality. while autofocus performance is a little below average, and the limited.
